Below is an update for the 5-year weekly chart on ECU that illustrates some similar trends during both lengthy consolidation periods. Note the ascending triangle formations during the beginning to middle portions of both consolidations followed by downward channel trends that conclude at the lower long term rail. If the pattern does repeat we could be in for some fireworks very shortly.
