I bet you dollars to doughnuts that you haven't been in charge of a project in your working career.

Keep in mind that management has a much bigger stake in making this thing  work than you have so they are naturally doing their best.

There job is to build a mine not to cater to every whim of a minor shareholder who wants instant gratification.
