Yes that is one possibility. Have you considered sending a note to management?

I prefer it the way it is except that it may help you and me if we state the topic of our posts. Use the previous title if you are responding to a post and if you are staying with the topic.

otherwise change the title and use the OT = Off Topic in the title per my example. Perhaps that may be sufficuent for you too?
