The Wed date I was referring to was when they wanted to have everyone's paperwork completed and close it off.

As you can imagine there are always a few stragglers, i's to dot and t's to cross (I have been that guy several times). It's a paperwork/legal/accounting/clerical schmozzle so even though a PP may effectively be completed, in my experience it usually takes a couple of weeks to officially close afterwards....then you may see an annoucement, but not everytime.
