New Discovery Resulting in a 20KM Mineralized Gold Belt
You did what you had to do Madstal , and if you break even on such a speculative stock it's not that bad considering the experience you get out of it . I went through the same a few times in the past , and still do right now with a few of my holdings .
Overall up for the year , but i learned to move on when losing , while looking for the next move all along . I do my best to try to split my risks on a few stocks and commodities . Try to buy when the market is on on down day or week and sell when it's the opposite .
Try to asses what's affecting the market and why a particular stock i own , or look to buy reacts as it does while the market is moving in such ans such a direction .
I take cues from particular individuals i've come across here on Agoracom , whom i consider to be shrewd investors or knowledgable in some aspects . Some of us me included having mostly opinions based on emotions relative to our results .
Basicaly nobody seem to know where the economy and the market is going , and when betting on the future of a specific and fairly new company, it's even worst , it all depends on the next find , next assays , next PP , management changes , or possible TO bid , and even possible regulations in some cases .
I keep looking at the stocks i've been in before win or lose , this way i add up to my knowledge base and get a better picture of it's worth , it's valuation and relative stability or volatility against market fluctuation .
I understand as a retail investors i'm a small fish swimming in deep waters and i look nervously around ready to jump when i feel the surrounding is threatening . I try to keep my investment in a stock to a level where a deep loss won't jeopardise my portfolio to a level above my late gains .
I also try to consider i'm fairly ignorant and unintelligent in this surrounding , where so much information as to be computed . Being a blue collar worker makes it easy to understand how far i stand from any decision process and the extent of my ignorance . So i try to act as such and at the end of the day remind myself i'm the only one responsable for my situation . No blind trusting anybody ever this is a fight for my own survival and future , yet having known poverty , if the worst comes to the worst i'll be in a no worst situation then i've been before , and i know i can deal with it , it's just not fun .
When i comment or read comments here , judgment about pumping or bashing are irrelevant , they're only emotional reactions as i see it . Facts , NR , analysis by more knowledgable people then me is all that matters , it's my job to understand what's what to protect my investment , and make the calls .
I wish you luck along the way , from what you said you seem to have done fairly well in managing this play through the turmoil .
