Message: Dinner with Frank and Sasha

I was in Montreal for the 2010 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress and called Sasha to see whether he and Frank might would have a few minutes to chat before I left town. I was quite flattered when they suggested we meet for dinner Monday evening, despite the fact that they were both getting ready to leave for New Orleans Tuesday morning, and Frank was not feeling 100%.

If you have ever spent any one-on-one time with Frank Candido you will realize why I am so excited about having him at the helm of this company. He is intelligent, imaginative, and as genuine a person as you will ever meet in this business.

Our conversation meandered from my opinions on the best cardioprotective diets (pertinent as Sasha ordered the red meat special) to a discussion of the qualities we are looking for in a public high school for our middle-school age children. We talked as though we had grown up two streets apart- and from what I have learned, Frank has the ability to connect with most of the people he meets in a similar manner. I can't emphasize how important I think these qualities will be as the company increases its exposure on Bay Street and in the US markets. Once the proper cornerstones are in place, I believe Frank will be a real closer where it counts.

I will first say that I never asked Frank any details on the timing of assays or any other specific material information. I would not want to raise my own expectations or those of anyone here by predicting when the next news release will come out. In fact, Frank was the first to break the ice on the subject by saying "So let me tell you what's going on with the property". He explained that the exploration site has now gone through a complete transformation. All the trees have been cleared and overburden removed in many of the areas to allow surface access for drilling and bulk sampling. They built a new fence around the property with signs indicating that this is the Property of Golden Hope Mines. The crusher has been on site for a while and apparently the bulk sampling protocol is running much more smoothly that it did in previous runs. Apparently having all of that cash in the bank has allowed them to make several improvements to increase the efficiency and perhaps even the accuracy of the protocol. I was told that, unlike the last time, the size of the crushed rock now meets Jim Tilsley's specifications and that this may improve the accuracy of the bulk sampling method. Although I would not ask him for any timelines for when we should expect these data my sense was that we could see them a bit sooner that we saw the data from the last bulk sampling (my opinion only) .

Frank expressed his discontent with the extent of the recent fall in share price and the recognition that HE needed to do something quickly to put a new floor under our valuation. He defined the current market conditions as very fickle but seemed confident that the current plan will provide the valuation we are all looking for. The current bulk sampling and drilling are aimed at providing that valuation- and perhaps on a much faster timeline than one might expect. It was not an accident that the technical report describing the hydraulic fracturing genesis of Bellechasse was 43-101 compliant, nor that projected definition drill for the holes on the web site are all spaced at regular intervals. I think all these parts of the puzzle, together with the surface bulk sampling projects ongoing, will very quickly (months rather than years) add up to a preliminary estimate of gold on the property.

Lastly, Frank was explaining his travel plans for the next several weeks. He is in New Orleans today, will be in New York next week and following that he will be in Switzerland where he is very excited about the potential contacts he will make. He was explaining the Hong Kong conference to me, where Canaccord was influential in getting us some exposure to the Asian investor community. Apparently we were the only exploreco company there, all the rest were producers, so that is a pretty large feather in our cap. I asked Frank about our relationship with Canaccord and he simply said they were very encouraged by the progress thus far, that they really liked the project, and that "they recognized these things take time" and were willing to wait for the company to develop Bellechasse to its full potential.

That's all I can think of for now, but I left Montreal as confident as ever about the direction of the company and the leadership we have in management and on the new board. I will be a buyer at these prices and will accumulate even more if we see any further weakness.

Best,

Scott
