Gold Stocks Pause After Surge, Xyratex Tanks

Data storage device companies were relative laggards on Thursday, led lower by U.K.-based Xyratex.

In trading on Thursday, data storage devices shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 1.3%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Xyratex Limited , off about 14.1% and shares of Compellent Tech off about 5.1% on the day.

Also lagging the market Thursday are gold mining stocks, down on the day by about 1.3% as a group, led down by Golden Hope Mines Limited , trading lower by about 8.5% and Great Western Minerals Group Limited, trading lower by about 6.8%.
