crazy, thanks, but it does'nt really answer what i'm after.
this is what i'm trying to get a grasp of:
let's say GNH drills a 1 meter core. inside that core there's a single nugget of approx 1gr. (and nothing else)
what would the gr/ton be? what would the strike distance be?
i'm guessing there is a multiplier of some type (i.e. a 1meter core weighs 30lbs), that core contains 1gr gold. do you simply divide 30lbs into a ton then multiply x gr? or, do you assume that a cube meter contains (340? 1 meter 2" cores) then the multiplier would be 1gr x 340=340gr/ton.
i know we dont weigh 1ton worth of core samples and get an average grade. so how do you express what is found in a 2" core sample for say 100'. lets say they hit a nugget at 10', 30', 80'...do you take the whole 100' sample and average the grade? would that mean you have 100' of mineralization? i've looked at different sites but cant seem to find a simple equation.
