Wiser words are rarely spoken!

Twilight is right on the mark here. The best way to fight back against someone who sells hard to the bid is to pull your bids and let the sp freefall.

It's the trading equivilent to a smack in the mouth. annon needs a b!tch slapping.

The last two days have definitely been wierd.

cantjustread had asked earlier why the house positions are important and he was interested in why we cared about them. They do at times tell us a lot. What you need to learn is what each one of the different house specialize in and who their customers tend to be. Especially the smaller boutique houses. Another tip is in an oddball buy in the form of a strange number of shares bought. For example: if house 7 , TD, has a purchase of 30,487 shares then it is safe to assume it is an American Greenline buy. Why? Because an American buyer doesn't pick a specific number of shares to buy, instead they ask their broker to buy $10,000.00 worth of stock. The even dollar amount and the exchange rate generate an oddball share purchase, so you know an American is buying. So you ask ....Who Cares?

Well, if you are in a play where a Vancouver jr. explorco is drilling in Nevada and you see a large oddball Amercan style buy through a small Vancouver trading house then you can be pretty sure a core saw operator called his aunt Mabel in Seattle to buy him 10 grand worth of XYZ inc.

He may be seeing something that might interest you in terms of what the assays might come in at.

This is just one example, but if you pay attention to trading patterns and where the strength is coming from over a period of time there are very real trends in how smart money behaves. A friend of mine who is a very savy trader has a line,

"The tape never lies"................

trading patterns are hard to hide! they speak a language. It pays to learn what they are talking about.
