An ICEBERG order is placed directly through a broker. The instruction you give is that you wish to place an iceberg order for 9500 shares at .65 cents.

Just like a real iceberg 7/8 is underwater.

you would ask the broker to "hide" ......say.......200,000 shares under the 9500 that no one in the market can see. This way you never show how much you actually want to buy or sell other than your "above water" 9500 shares.

The board shows you this by printing the bought portion of the iceberg in red.
