Drilling doesn't have a season up here. It doesn't get that cold, that is just a rumour that we perpetuate to get a break from tourists :)

But seriously, the property should be readily accessible in all but the fiercest of winter weather, so there is no reason to stop the drilling. In fact, snow and ice can make it easier, providing firm surfaces in wetland/marsh/rivers as well as winter roads.
