So get this. I've mentioned before that one of my best friends is a senior director at the worlds biggest gold company. He is a CA, CFA, money guy etc...not a miner, but he knows enough.

About 3 months ago I demanded a 'sit-down' with him. Having never mentioned GNH, I waited until I'd seen the property, met with Candido, dotted my 'I's', crossed my 'T's' and made sure I knew everything I could before I brought it up...particularly since my chirping with Noront being Ontario's Oilsands has made me look like like a complete idiot with the fledgling share price.

As you an expect, when talking about GNH (as enthusiastic I get about it) it comes off as a too good to be true and the obvious reaction is to find what is wrong with the project. I was able to answer most questions, but he gave me a few I have since found the answers to. The point here is that I convinced him enough to buy a few shares as he announced to me that if this doesn't pan out, this will be the LAST time he ever invests on the Venture exchange again.

So GNH does well in those few months. And I keep chirping about it, now after 2 site visits.

This guy is the biggest client with every financial institution he deals with in Canada and is close to it in the US. They want his business bad.

So the boys from the biggest US Bank come up from NYC, and schmooze my friend and his boss in Toronto. The top mining person at this bank, appears to know everything about everything in mining. So, my friend challenges him (probably laughing as he's expecting a 'never heard of them' response) and asks if he knows anything about Golden Hope Mines.

'I know a lot about Golden Hope mines.'

Holy crap. Apparently he rhymes off Candido's name, Tilsley, and says that may have something up there but who knows.....

My friend was shocked, as am I.

He then said that he wouldn't buy the stock and that Candido is a 'marketing' guy, not a miner, like for example Rainy River blah blah.

For the longest time, Ive been saying that I'm not sure if anyone is 'watching'. Well, for me this salts it. Hey, if we don't have the stuff that's one thing...but if we do and nobody knows about...well that's another problem.

Anyways, this is great stuff.

And as far as his comments about Candido go, I have no doubt that Candido is the best man for the job at present. If we didn't have Frank I'd guess we'd be diluted by 20% and take a look at Noront's share price and who's making all of the money over there. It sure isn't me!
