AGM - Some Notes and Comments.

I have been away from my computer for a while. In the following I wish to present my recollections of the AGM:

Arriving early, I met Golden Hope’s president Mr. Frank Candido and other company officials, following which I was fortunate to meet and have a long conversation with GNH’s Chief Geologist, Mr. James Tilsley. Among other things I asked him about the proportion, or ratio of gold that occurs in quartz versus other types of rocks.

As I understood from his May 11th Letter to Shareholders, much of the mineralized rocks are containing auriferous quartz veins where the gold is present in small clusters of nuggets. Recovery of metals from quartz in some cases can be a tricky business – as quartz is chemically just about as inert as glass. (Here I mentioned to him Barrick’s 2007 “Unlock the Value” Veladero project. He did recall the story, but we did not dwell upon it). Jim explained that besides quartz, mineralization also occurs in diorite formations, etc.

The meeting was called to order. The corporate part of the meeting – resolutions, voting, etc. – was chaired and conducted efficiently by Mr. Frank Candido. It was followed by a technical presentation given by Mr. Jim Tilsley.

It was a relatively small meeting with about twenty people present, most of who appeared to know each other, working at or have visited GNH’s Bellechasse property and have good understanding of the Company’s progress.

Jim suggested proceeding as a “Question and Answer” session.

He followed by describing the two traditional ways to create and increase shareholder value, and then contrasted the two in a nut-shell:

(1) NI-43101 Establishing the requisite Au Grade and tonnage thru drilling and core samples. Disadvantage of this method is that only about 2.5 kg/meter (1/2 core) will be sampled, resulting in an average Au 2 gram/ton

(2) Bulk Sampling to establish Au Grade combined with shallow drilling to establish extent (tonnage) of mineralization. The advantage here is that about 40 kg will be used for sampling, resulting in an average Au 4 gram/ton.

The company’s experience has shown that the average grade can be substantially increased with the sample size.

A demonstrated sizable reserve plus the “Blue Sky” potential will attract a Major. They usually do not set as strident requirement as NI-43101, because they have in-house expertise to competently assess the value and potential of a mining property.

At this point I suggested to Jim, that instead of waiting to be noticed by someone, perhaps GNH should take the initiative in proposing a Joint Venture to a large Miner like OSISKO, which is known to entering into JV-s with junior mining companies.

I made a desperate effort in avoiding the use of the magic word “Major” in connection with Osisko, yet could not avoid the remark, that OSISKO is still not a Miner. Jim also asked me to name those companies.

Not being certain of their names and other details I offered Jim to furnish these by email. I include some of the same information for you as well here below:

Recent Joint Ventures and Acquisitions by OSISKO

2009.07.03 OSK Completes Strategic Investment in Bowmore Exploration Ltd.

(Osisko has identified a number of grass-roots gold exploration opportunities in Canada and has selected Bowmore as an exploration partner to advance these projects. Bowmore currently has an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Santa Elvira gold-copper property in Mexico, which is of interest to Osisko.

The parties believe that their strategic alliance should create shareholder value for both Osisko and Bowmore, as Osisko intends to involve Bowmore in exploration projects that would not be suitable for Osisko given its focus on the Canadian Malartic gold project, and thereby reduce Osisko's exploration risk, and Bowmore will benefit from deal flow generated by Osisko.

2009.11.13 Osisko Options Goldboro Gold Property from Orex Exploration.

OSK has signed an Option and Joint Venture Agreement with Orex Exploration Inc. (OX.V). Osisko has a working right and exclusive option to acquire up to a 60% undivided interest in Orex's Goldboro gold property and surrounding claims located in northeastern Nova Scotia .

2009.11.16 Osisko and Clifton Star Sign Binding Agreement to Enter Into Joint Venture on Duparquet Project. Located near the town of Duparquet in Duparquet Township, Quebec, the Project is approximately 45 kilometres northwest of the city of Rouyn-Noranda and 90 kilometres northwest of Osisko's flagship Canadian Malartic construction-stage gold mine.

2010.05.19 Osisko’s Offer to Acquire Brett Resources Succeeds

(On completion of a subsequent acquisition transaction, Osisko intends

To de-list the Brett shares from the TSX Venture Exchange.)

Due to prior commitments I left immediately after the meeting was over. I would have liked to stay on longer and meet other shareholders, including Glorieux. He must have been that bearded young man sitting at arm’s reach just behind me. May be next time!

Best regards,
