New Discovery Resulting in a 20KM Mineralized Gold Belt
I'd better keep this in points. I was hoping to get all of this out asap.
- So as I mentioned, they can only show 2g/t on a 43-101 when it is actually 3g/t. This is a challenge they need to overcome. The best way to do this is to find people who understand the nature of this mineraliztion. Regardless, this is small potatoes when compared to some of the upsides.
- The drillers they have on-site are amazing. This is hard work but they have been going 24/7 since they started and will probably have this phase 1 complete within 2 weeks. Apparently Tilsley does not want them to leave so we can expect that Phase 2 will begin shortly thereafter. I think they are like a 3 week on, 2 week off kind of thing. We should know a lot more about the ground here in short order.
-A funny story. I'm walking back from the 88 Zone and Tilsley and Hoov are in front of me. I'm rinsing my boots off in any puddle I see as we head back to the cars, so I have my head down and I am just listening to them speak. Now, I like to think I have a decent command of the English language but these two guys are speaking in tongues. I'm not really trying to figure out what they are talking about, I know I could always just ask Hoov to give me the laymens terms later. Well, after about 4 minutes of this I can tell their banter has changed. Remember the scene from Goodwill Hunting when the math prof and Matt Damon start crossing off numbers and letters and solving a complex math problem, finished with a high-5? I kid you not, these guys were literally finishing each others sentences with words I've never heard of before. Like more than 10 times! It was as though 2 aliens from another world had landed beside each other and they were so happy to have someone to talk to.
-Town Hall Meeting. While the visiting group and Tilsley stayed back, and enjoyed wine and cheese and peppered Hoov and Tilsley with questions the GNH crew went to Lac Echemin for a Town Hall meeting. They were gone, seemingly forever. Long story short, about 50 people showed which is less than before (100), which is less than beofre that etc. Reason being, this proactive approach has developed a great rapport with the community. Apparently Frank did his thing, but the people there wanted the local, Dany to answer most of their questions. It all went very well with a small few asking the same questions in a different way - which is how these things go. There was concerns about the Chinese buying in and taking over etc...that kind of thing. There was one resident that was particularly vocal, so Frank announced that HE was going to be the very first person he calls when they need to ask for permission - which got a laugh and ended some of his concerns.
- Dinner. When the guys got back, we went for dinner across the street and about 100 steps across the road. Great service. I recommend the alphabet soup.
-Drinks after the bar. Never play pool against anyone from this group other than myself, and maybe Yukon. Just a word of advice. So, this is classic. The bar is actually in the basement of this mini-home/hotel B&B. The door is locked! Frank knocks on the door repeatedly until some girl opens it. Some words of French were exchanged and in we go! Holy smokes, this is a one of a kind. It was fun to hang out with the members here and the crew from GNH - all great people I assure you. My highlight was going out for some fresh air with Sylvan, the office manager. I wasn't prying but I asked him how he likes working for Goldenhope. Ok...this guy reels back, rolls his eyes and just gets right into it. 'I love it'. He literally starts pumping both fists upside down and says how he loves going to work everyday, and that he gets to work with his best friend, and he feels like he is a part of something so great, and how so much has changed with Frank as president, and that he loves working with everybody (all said with French accent, of course). I asked about the vibe from the locals, and he said that is just so positive, and there is such a great feeling in the community (paraphrasing) and on and on. Just simply glowing about it. And, for the record he has seen Motley Crue 10 times to Dany's 11 and told me that I must come out to Quebec City for the festival. Hmmm...sounds pretty good and perhaps another site update?
I'll continue on another post...
