New Discovery Resulting in a 20KM Mineralized Gold Belt
Okay....
Finally I can write just a bit about the past week.
Over the past few months I've developed a solid rapport with Sasha and finally had the chance to meet him in person - and he was incredibly...EXACTLY as I pictured him to be. I'd like to refer to him as a kid, but he's far from that. This guy is eating, sleeping, living, breathing, talking, walking everything GNH and is smart enough to remember and retain names, faces, places and morever he appears to be the guy who gets things done...which appears to be what our little company needs at this point.
I'll sum him up like this. I like to think I have a fairly large network of friends and associates having grown up in Toronto for the majority of my life. Out of this sizeable group there are about 3 who are entrepreneurial and share a passion and thirst for success, and have made incredible sacrifices to achieve what I consider to be some incredible achievments. The common thread I see with them, is something I also see in Sasha, and it's a lot rarer than people think. Tenacity, passion, hunger, energy, charm, and a serious drive to succeed are some of those qualities and I could see all of those just from having regular conversation with the guy. And talking and doing are two very different things. If I could put a little dough into Sasha Co., I think that would be a pretty decent investment in itself.
The PDAC in general? Like the free portion called the Investors Exchange? Frankly after walking into this rather gargantuan sea of junior prospectors there I made concsious decision to not even bother trying to ingest technical information. For me it was an opportunity to put faces to names, and I barely even saw any faces I knew through randoms walking around. I was aimless and actually couldn't find the GNH booth as I stupidly chucked my directory. I left after about 50 minutes and checking out the NOT booth where I felt like a little kid talking to celebrities who smiled and waved and said nothing.
My highlight of the week was casually hangin out with 4 CEO's of companies that are discussed here on AG on a daily basis within the span of 2 hours. Priceless. I never tried to fish for information and instead just tried to enjoy their company and understand what kind of people they are. They're all very different in aspect that people can be different which I found very intruiging. This junior mining racket is seemingly a whole subculture of individuals which I do not yet understand, but have an idea.
As for GNH, well....if I had to sum it all up in a line - What you see is what you get and it looks pretty great! I had the opportunity to spend a good deal of time with Sasha and Frank. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that these are the two best guys I have ever met blah blah blah and blow sunshine up their arses, although I could probably make a strong case for it. Every person I met over the past few days have been great people. What I will say though, and in particular about Frank Candido, is that there is not a shadow of a doubt that this guy is doing what is in the absolute best interest of the shareholders. For those that don't know, I believe that Candido's average price of where he owns shares is higher than we are at now, and that his personal circle also comprise a good chunk of the shareholder base. If you don't know him and you are a shareholder....welcome to the family. You will be treated with tremendous respect from this guy, and it will be nothing short of genuine.
Here is my best version of describing Frank. Ok, so the junior mining racket is just that. I am quite certain that if I walked the PDAC and listened to every single story out there, that there would be some incredible stories. In fact, I'd also bet that the very BEST story would come form the person that is absolutely the best BS'tter. Makes sense, right? Not Frank.
The first words that come out of his mouth are usually that he is not a miner. He's not a geologist. He's found himself in this crazy situation where he is running gold mine. Noooo!! Frank, shut up!! What are you doing??!
This guy has the worst sales pitch! Frank, why not try to make yourself and the property sound like the greatest thing since sliced bread?? Tell us of all your success in your life and how this is the greatest gold prospect in Canada! Not so, with Candido. Eventually the next words out of his mouth is where you begin to realize why we are so fortunate to have him running our show. He's not selling GNH, or himself, or anything for that matter. He is simply doing what needs to be done for the maximum benefit of the shareholders.
What needs to be done here is not rocket science. The geo Tilsley knows EXACTLY what needs to be done to uncover the ground. Candido also appears to be extremely knowledgeable about what this company needs to do in the future - and I agree with what he says, which is he doesn't know yet. We need to keep learning about the Beauce and doing the right way.
We will need some more $$ in the future to finance the complete exploration of the land, and they would like to do this asap. Frank or Sasha wouldn't tell what, where or how this would happen but I know they have had a plethora of 'meetings' and that the reception has been positive to this project.
Ok, long story short....do I feel good about him as CEO? Nope. I feel great. If he felt that he wasn't the best guy for the job and for his shareholders, I'm quite certain he would be the very first person to suggest that we need someone else. Enough said. The fact that I personally like the guy and would like to consider him a personal friend of mine after knowing him 2 days is a whole other matter.
Alright, just got a call from a neglected household dammitall.
I'm looking forward to talking about more technical stuff over the next little while which is looking like potentially crazy good stuff.
