Let me copy a wee bit of your post and bring this into perspective, mostly for me...

You posted, "Bulk samples taken in the 1960's from 3 pits excavated in selected veins produced a weighted average of 16.9 g/t Au (0.54 oz/t Au) from a total of 39.3 metric tons (43 short tons) of material."

Now, simple math gets us thinking that .54 ounces per metric ton of rock times 40 tons equals 20 ounces of gold... OK, so, how big an area of rock are we talking about to make 40 tons... If I'm not mistaken, you generally get about 4 tons of rock per cubic meter. So, 10 cubic meters of rock gives you 20 ounces of gold, or a hunk of rock 2 meters wide by 1 meter deep by 5 meters long, with a meter being about a normal sized step for a tall person (over 6 feet). That's not a lot of rock.

Now, not all of the rock is coming out at these really good grades, it averaged out to about 1/2 of that, according to the news release in your post. Now for the "Herb is Happy" part. It also states in that same news release that this is from,

"a near surface gold-bearing vein stockwork that is exposed over a 120 x 80 meter (394 x 262 ft) area."

120 X 80 X how many meters deep is this vein??? I thought I heard a ridiculous number somewhere of 300 meters, but that number is just too good to believe, so don't believe it unless you can find it in writing somewhere. Just the 120 X 80 X 20 meters deep would give you 192,000 cubic meters of quartz to work with with an approximate tonnage of 768,000 tons of material based on 4 tons/cubic meter formula... 768,000 tons X 8 grams/ton is 6.144 million grams divided by 33 grams/ounce, or 186,182 ounces of gold in them thar hills... times $1100/ounce if gold holds it's value... a really great start to all this gold exploration, and, that's only looking at 20 meters deep for this anomoly!!! I KNOW it's a lot deeper than that, I just can't remember where I read it or from who I heard it !~!~!

OK, I'm kinda excited again... time to get my meds and come back to earth ;-}

I'm really looking forward to getting some resource estimates out of this stock. With all that staking and exploration ramping up in the immediate area, this could turn out to be one of the best kept secrets that the Hoov just "happened" to dig up... Thanks Lar.
