MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2010) - Nevado Venture Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE: VDO) (the "Company" or "Nevado") has now 172 contiguous claims in Nicolet AU-CU-AG Property (the "Property") .The Property is located 30 km southwest of the mining town of Thetford Mines, situated adjacent to the southernmost segment of the Thetford Mines Ophiolitic Complex, some 200 km northeast of Montreal (Quebec).

Decision to increase its property rights was based on the current major staking rush of more than 2000 permits to date in the area. Recent government filings indicate that Bowmore Exploration Limited (TSX-VENTURE:BOW) participated in this rush staking for at least 200 permits adjacent to the west and the south of our Nicolet Property.

This confirmed the minerals potential of the region as previously described in our last press release.

The technical information has been prepared, revised and approved by Mr. Bertrand Brassard, M. Sc., P. Geo., a Director of Nevado and a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 standards.
