Message: Should we be staking claims - discussion point.

Bratty,

Good to hear that you know a thing or two about the industry! The more the merrier... always makes for good discussions.

From what I have heard, GNH has all the claims they need/want. I'll take it as a given that because they have been the Lone Ranger in the area for such a long time, they have had the time to investigate and stake what they saw as being most prospective. Could they have overlooked stuff? Possibly. But realistically, how many claims could GNH really hold given it's resources, both human and fiscal?

That being said, if they staked every piece of dirt that looked good in the region, there wouldn't be anything for anyone else and there wouldn't be much of a regional marketing spin to put on it -> no FNC and no Bowmore/OSK. I will take the point of view, and please open a dialogue with me if you want, that the value of a staking spree and “gold rush” to the region offers similar if not greater value to GNH shareholders.

Regarding staking. That can be done at the Ministère de la Faune et des Ressources Naturelles du Québec website. I believe it's roughly $100/claim. That being said you have to spend money working the claim to keep it in good standing (I think it's $1000/claim/2 years .... do not quote me on that!) otherwise they get thrown back in the pool. Assessment reports are issued by the claim owner as proof of expenditures. The million dollar question is........ which claims are good????? It can get very expensive very quick figuring out which ones to take and doing the work to keep 'em going.... $1000 doesn't get you very far in this game and what's the point in just holding on to a few claims for the sake of it?

I'm also pleased that they are working away on FSG and can't wait for news.

- Justice
