The mountains of Saskatchewan, where the RCAF built huge, underground bunkers to house a massive fleet of Arrow fighter jets to hide them from the Americans, and guard Canadian sovereign skies. Well, there just aren't any mountains of Saskatchewan.

The La Ronge Gold Belt, a greenstone belt of known geology and long been known to exist, since at least the 1950's, doesn't even come up on the radar.

Perhaps this is because people believe that any deposit that is part of the Superior province must necessarily be in Ontario or Quebec and could not possibly house a discovery of any size anywhere else.

The article on the Trans-Hudson Orogeny in Wikipedia has improved considerably, with numerous maps and articles. Now, the geology of this one particular geological aspect of plate formations and former mountains has improved since the 1990's,(through seismic testing) meaning that science of geology might be decades out of date considering the La Ronge Gold Belt.
