Weekly volatility is at a high, meaning that declines during higher volatility are the rule, while rises on low volatility should be the outcome. Especially since we've seen rallies on volatility declines, you would expect rises the more the inverse correlation with gold prices goes further into the negative.
That has not entirely materialized, but the notable outcome so far is that gold prices can't be fixed during changes in volatility. Below 50 then you would see better rises in declining volatility.
