Saskatchewan's SECRET Gold Mining Development.
Jolu/Decade drilling programmes were completed long ago, as well as the Roy Lloyd mine drilling.
Jolu/Decade drilling programmes were completed in 2010 and left unreported. Roy Lloyd mine definition drilling was before long hole stoping was changed for shrinkage stoping. The cores are good, but no map location or diagramme supports the news release.
Google Maps satelite image from 2009 shows work in all of the areas on Jolu, including Pam zone (very prominent due to bulk sampling) just south of the Jolu Mine, or Rod Zone:
Bing Maps shows work completed prior to mining commencing at Roy Lloyd in 2010, which is still clearly visible on the May, 2013 aerial photo from Bing Maps.
Location of Decade Mine portal is 275m due north of the mill, there is a large white plastic container caught in the aerial photo, which also appears in the company photo of the portal:
The Roy Lloyd Mine open pit was the source of most of the ore for processing during the last three years, including the Alimak Zone open pit, which was supposed to be a bulk sample. Remember that this open pit has been in operation for three years.
All of the ore from the Roy Lloyd mine underground operation was stockpiled and is being stockpiled at a nominal rate of 150tpd for four years starting May, 2010. The low stockpiling rate means the ore is higher grade. Drill cores from the news release confirm a robust grade now. @a nominal processing rate of 400tpd, ore from Roy Lloyd will provide the mill with feed for 547 days. = 70k oz. per year if the head grade is 15 g/t.
Initially the company stated that Roy Lloyd was an ore shoot of 150m width, but the aerial map from Bing Maps now shows the open pit wider than that, with an estimated 300m strike length north of the portal, and possibly bigger than that since drilling continued north (you can seen the drill emplacements):
Conclusion: There is more ore than indicated. The mines are bigger and higher grade than indicated. Open pits provided all of the ore in the last three years of commercial production at the lowest possible cost. High grade ore was stockpiled, awaiting processing at the conclusion of the gold commitment.
