They have also been very busy at this end of the Rod Zone deposit, where a large waste rock stockpile is being reduced and the berm between Mallard Lake and the above ground TMF is getting huge.

Notable to the discussion are three rounded cut-outs in the forest, where the snow is tracked. These are drill pads. A large front-loader vehicle on the waste rock stockpile appears to be almost up-side down in dizzying perspective in this aerial photo.

Follow along in the snowy tracks, where the forest has been cleared, and you get to Rod Zone South, which appears to have been bulk-sampled.

Extensive site preparation has gone on. Basically all of the zones mentioned in the SMDI Mallard Lake area database have gone through extensive drill testing and sampling, with no mention in the news releases.

Go to the Star Lake mine location, and you can follow along the Starrex-KAHN 3km shear, where drill testing was completed by April, 2012 or before. It would have had to have been done in the 2008 - 2012 time frame:

The former Star Lake Mine location shows a building in place, which seems to have gotten larger over time, and two drill pad locations nearby with tracks in the snow, meaning extensive drill testing.
