Saskatchewan's SECRET Gold Mining Development.
Flash Earth
Microsoft has put up a new website comprising its Bing Maps and the Yahoo Maps aerial photo and satellite data to produce a zoomable high resolution map website. Details of the Mallard Lake Tailing Management Facility, along with the Jolu mill, ore-grade stockpiles, Alimak zone bulk sample open pit, are all quite visible.
A great deal of work has gone on in this area, while comparing to the Golden Heart site, which is a proposed mine does not have the level of work that has gone in. Its very clear that they intend to mine in the immediate vicinity of the Jolu Mill out of adjacent deposits, but no indication has been made of a project so far.
In fact, mining operations are taking place at some distance from this location, where most of the work has gone in, as if to distract from the actual effort. Thus GBN.V is a shell company of no value unless they resume production or reveal what their inentions and their actual plan is, as opposed to the present level of information provided to the shareholders.
This scene is dated April, 2012. At that time, production was drastically curtailed, but even so, after one year of production, the stockpile at the time was twice the size orginally depicted in the May 2011 detailed aerial map. They had been stockpiling since May, 2010.
So far, there hasn't been an update to Bing Map aerial photos this year. If you happen to have a large screen, choose the full screen option:
