SASKATOON, June 5, 2013 /CNW/ - Golden Band Resources Inc. ("Golden Band" or "Company") (TSXV: GBN; OTCQX: GBRIF) announces the appointment of Mr. Russell Roberts as a director of the
Company.
Mr. Roberts is the Chief Executive Officer of Kitsaki Management Limited
Partnership, a successful economic development venture owned by the Lac
La Ronge Indian Band, of which Mr. Roberts is a member. Prior to this
role, Mr. Roberts was Kitsaki's Manager of Business Development. An
affiliate of Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership is a partner in the
Kitsaki Procon Joint Venture which conducts mining contracting services
for Golden Band's La Ronge Gold project.
Mr. Roberts hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of
Saskatchewan and has various management and business development
experience with organizations such as the Prince Albert Grand Council,
Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, Saskatchewan Northern Affairs
Canada and Prince Albert Credit Union.
The Company also reports that further to its news release of March 27,
2013 announcing operational changes, it has terminated the Investor
Relations positions of Messrs. Raju Wani and Tony Perri and will
maintain the investor communication functions in house in an effort to
streamline operations.
Also, the Company announces that further to the news release of May 2,
2013, it has reached a settlement with Acer Capital Group ("Acer") in
the amount of US$185,000. The settlement is an effective full and
final general release of Acer's claims and Acer has filed a dismissal
of the lawsuit.

Golden Band Resources is a gold producer operating in the La Ronge gold
belt in northern Saskatchewan and is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange
in Canada under the symbol GBN and traded in the United States on the

On February 26, 2013, the Company announced a temporary halt of mining
at the Komis deposit to free up equipment and personnel for the

been actively exploring the La Ronge Gold Belt since 1994 and has
assembled a land package of 870 km2, including 13 known gold deposits
and four former producing mines, being Jolu, Decade, Star Lake and
Komis. The Company plans to undertake aggressive drill programs
throughout the La Ronge Gold Project with the goal of significantly
expanding the existing NI 43-101 gold resources that have been
identified to date.
