Its interesting that in inflationary times, you would talk about large, disseminated deposits in copper as the ultimate find.
The ultimate find for mining in deflationary times should be large, narrow vein deposits in the 7g/t+ grade.
Why? because with the devaluation of currency against gold, the Net Present Value of your mining project increases when no other type of deposit will effect the same.
A gold mine right now is considered to be a disseminated sulphide copper deposit with gold by product, while gold porphyry mines are disregarded.
