Saskatchewan's SECRET Gold Mining Development.
Maps, Locations, Historical Info, Oh My!
"Of course, SMDC itself plans to add to its known reserves by exploring other portions of the property. Specifically, SMDC geologists are looking for “repeats” of the 21 Zone which is estimated to be 3,000 metres (9,840 feet) long, Murphy said."
Regina Leader-Post, Jun 17 1985
I happened to be mistaken that it was Roy Lloyd which made this quote and managed to find it once again and will provide the map location and historical references.

This is the historical reference:

Convert Latitude And Longitude
Use this calculator to convert latitude and longitude found in the historical references. This calculator only accepts two-digit references, so only take the first two numbers for the very last box only. Some of the locations in the government of Saskatchewan historical references are off, though many correspond with the exact location of known deposits.

Google Maps, Spring 2010
Fork Lake is a series of lakes, and therefore is called 'Fork Lakes.' The historical references say that Fork Lakes is the location, but do not mention that this is actually north of the Fork Lakes. This location is searchable as 'Fork Lakes.'
Bing Maps, April 2012
The Khan Zone, or 21 Zone, 3km strike length as demonstrated by evidence of intensive work on the ground. You can measure it for yourself if you like.

The OTHER Fork Lake
No, not THAT Fork Lake, the OTHER Fork Lake!
The only time that the mystery location was ever mentioned by the company was once, when during a public meeting with local residents and they asked whether this particular location was included in the dispositions. Rodney Orr gave evasive answers, but corrected the questioner that the location was Fork Lake. Certainly maps given by the company do not include this location.
But looking at the historical information and the previous owners, it has to be certain that it happens to be a part of the company's land package. GBN.V is made up of Uranerz, SDMC, Golden Rule and any of the big players that used to operate in the La Ronge Gold Belt. You would verify the company's land holding by going down to the Regina office and demand this publicly available information.
Google Search Of Golden Band's Website:
Look under northern community meetings.

The last available information going back to 1988 was that Cameco owns this property. Is it now owned by Golden Band or still owned by Cameco?
Bing Maps, May 2010
'Fork Lake' is the Mystery Location, but is searchable using 'Fork Lakes'
Using the latitude/logitude calculator in conjunction with Google Maps:
You can zoom in on the mystery location, where there has been intensive work conducted in the recent past. The mystery location just south of the middle fork of Fork Lakes appears to be 1.6km in strike length.
