Today's Action - One More Step
We saw preciptious declines in the USB price, notably expressed in the TLT close. The yield on the 30-year treasury, according to Bloomberg, is 3.26. $USB closed slightly above yesterday's low, but TLT closed @113.91, below previous lows. I would say that bond futures markets are whistling past the graveyard, since so many people expressed their misgivings at other portions of the market, seeing it as the only safe haven.
The last confirmation that you would need is the yield factor on the long dated treasury bond auction which happens tomorrow.
One trader saw to it that GBN.V prices remained as low as possible, painting the tape at the close by selling into the bid. In the absence of buyers, the sellers are completely in control.
GBN.V is still maintaining silence on a handful of issues, such as processing rate, grade, financials, Lloyd mine development, work on the Mallard Tailings Impoundment Area, etc.
Of course, if all else fails, and the stock is doomed, they can opt to press the button and pay out a dividend. But that's just me.
