Gold Resource Corp. is one of the only developmental stocks that pay dividends. Short sellers were after this company some time ago, alleging a swindle.
But they continue to pay dividends monthly and have not diluted their float. By co-incidence Claude Resources was mentioned as a comparable in the following article in Forbes.
Their dividend regime caused controversy and certain aspects of the company were brought to light that were not known. Short sellers were attracted to the stock due to their claims of negative cash costs to produce gold.
