Saskatchewan's SECRET Gold Mining Development.
Doug Casey with James Turk
Doug Casey talks with James Turk on various topics, including financial bubbles, mining shares, gold, real estate, agriculture, technology.
Doug Casey also recommended GBN.V at times in the past, though I would bet he is second guessing his wisdom on this stock. Maybe he's the disgruntled seller behind the low share price. Who knows? (I think the devil is in the details of the intermarket, and the residual effect of the Bre-X collapse.)
One thing Mr. Casey commented on that made my day was the comments on government bonds. TBT is the ultra-short vs. the TLT, which is the long bond price. He was very specific in saying that a good speculation would be the short side of bonds.
During the depression, the 10-year bond rate was 2% and remained this low until 1949, after the war had concluded. More than likely the long bond trade will fall out of vogue as the bond price can only go so far, especially when considering the thinning ice over the forex trade and currency valuation.
Considering now that the futures and options markets are coming under question due to the MF Global bankruptcy, that ETFs carrying these bond trades are likely themselves in for a major adjustment apart from the actual bond markets themselves.
