Spot The Paid Basher

Under securities law, its a crime to distort through promoting falsehoods the value in any company in order for personal gain. This is called 'pumping.'

The same is true if you are attempting to personal gain by sabotaging or factually distorting the news. This is called 'bashing.'

So here are the ways to spot the criminal on Stockhouse.

1. Very short term membership.

2. 0 friends.

3. Very few ignores. In fact, they never seem to acquire any ignores. Its like people really want to hear what they say.

4. Will always show up just before an imminent sell off as a planned naked short is about to occur.

5. The basher will always accuse supporters of the stock vociferously as paid pumpers. You absolutely must have the facts ready to deal with this, otherwise, you really are just a pumper. Note the poorly researched facts they bring up. You have to deal with truisms, (or false-isms) with facts and links.

If someone came up to you and telegraphed the fact they were going to assault you, then this is considered a pre-meditated crime. In the same way, the basher is looking to commit a fraud in the markets by undermining confidence in a poorly performing stock, hoping for a sell off, but really waiting to front run any trades, even if they have to front run their own trades.

So you have to conclude that, on Stockhouse at the very least, you can pay for the priviledge of bashing a stock. Isn't this all contrary to securities law?
