Gold shares rally
Gold shares surged as the price of the metal rose, snapping an eight-session slump. Yamana gained 10.9 per cent, Goldcorp climbed 8.5 per cent and Kinross was up 8.8 per cent. Gold for April delivery settled at $927.80 (U.S.) in New York, up $21.10.
