The following is an interesting link which shows a picture of a tri-hybrid system GiraSolar was involved in and also goes on to say:
"There are a few domestic battery manufacturers whose products can be used for off-grid PV applications. Aneltech Corp. and Girasolar Ltd. finalized plans for module production lines and both companies plan to produce crystalline based solar modules from the unit cells in 2009."
