Regarding electricity i don't know about GWG mine in SA but Eskom ( the power utility provider in SA ) announced about a week ago that they wished to raise their tarifs over the next 3 years by 45% each year , though it still has to be approved by the government while a lot of resistence is building up , other possibilities for raising cost by a lower percentage over a longer period of time were mentioned , but the bottom line is they need to increase prices by about 145% over the next few years

Facts are something has to be done to improve the electricity situation out there and finacing is crucialy needed , whatever happens energy cost will hit hard in SA over the next few years , for industry as well as for the population , either they ramp up their electricity production or else electricity shotages will affect the mining industry production like in 2008 .
