Great Western Minerals Group Ltd.: Options Granted

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Nov. 18, 2008) - Great Western Minerals Group (TSX VENTURE:GWG) (PINK SHEETS:GWMGF) reports that, subject to regulatory approval, it has granted to officers, employees and consultants an aggregate of 3,675,000 options to acquire common shares of the Company. The options are exercisable into common shares of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. at a price of $0.20 per share for a period of five years from the date of grant.

Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. is a Canadian-based company exploring for, and developing, strategic metal resources in North America.
