Boeing exec expects biofuels to replace jet fuel within 5 years

Added 3 days ago - The use of biofuels derived from algae and jatropha as jet fuel could be possible within "three to five years" based on the results of recent test flights, said Billy Glover, Boeing's director of environmental strategy. Glover said the company sees no problems in using the renewable fuel and that it expects to secure clearance from the American Society for Testing and Materials for the fuel by 2010.
