Air New Zealand delays biodiesel test flight after plane crash
December 2, 2008
''In New Zealand, Air New Zealand delayed its historic biodiesel test flight scheduled for tomorrow (December 3), after the crash of an Airbus A320 of the coast of France on a training flight. The plane carried four Air New Zealand staff members, and the plane was reportedly leased from the airline. Air New Zealand had previously scheduled to test a jatropha-based B50 biodiesel blend in one of four 747 engines in a 2-hour test flight out of Auckland, The downed plane was operated by XL Airways Germany, which had been testing the aircraft for return to Air New Zealand service.''
