Our main plantation is currently located in the central Cayo district of Belize, Central America. Belize is subtropical, ensuring excellent growing conditions and high yields. Jatropha Curcas L (TAL’s main oilseed crop) originates from the Yucatan area some 200 miles to the north.
Belize is the only English speaking country in Central America, making it a good location for regional operations. Belize offers attractive investment opportunities for property and land both in the long term and short term with low labour and material costs.
Our Vision:
TAL will eventually be employing hundreds of local people in overseas operations. The principles of Fairtrade will be applied in all TAL’s activities and as a result of operating in Third World economies, TAL will improve the lives of many communities and peoples, whilst maintaining high profit levels and creating C02 subsidy opportunities.
Mission Statement:
The Mission of Technology Alternatives Limited (TAL) is to provide a profitable, sustainable and efficient solution to capitalise on the demand for renewable energy and Carbon Sequestration within the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). In addition, the business, once established, will provide a base for ongoing research in the oil, agronomy, agriculture and bio-fuel markets. Importantly, at all times the business will be conducted in an ethical and ecologically sound way.
