It is not normal, imho, for a capacitor of that rating to produce heat. For real power intensive parts, they provide some form of heat dissipation. But, one of the problems with the EEStor multlayer design, and it will get worse with more layers, is that there is not a lot of ways to carry out the heat, unless they go back to thick copper electrodes, which will reduce their volumetric efficiency, and confound packaging schemes. It is obvious that they have no experience in finishing or designing in reliability.
