Hey, gang. Just an FYI that I bought 300,000 shares of Donnybrook (DEI:TSXV) this morning. It is the top volume trader on TSXV at 3.6M shares as of 10:45 AM.
Why?
DEI received 10.3 Million Shares Of Cequence Energy (CQE:TSX) as part of a deal sending a property the other way.
DEI plans to distribute these shares to its shareholders. DEI has 197M shares out, so you would basically received 1 CEQ for every 20 DEI you own.
As such, if you purchase 100,000 shares of DEI at $0.07, it costs you $7,000. In return, you will receive 5,000 shares of CEQ as a distribution. CEQ trades at 1.38 at this moment, so the value of the distribution is $6,900.
It costs you $7,000 to buy 100,000 shares of DEI and you receive $6,900 CEQ in return.
Free money.
Naturally, do your own DD.
