An excellent suggestion.

I have lost count of the times when I hit the submit button and then surf to another website or walk away, only to remember that I forgot to add a crucial point.

By the time I get back to my post the edit option is gone. So I either let it ride and allow other discussion board members to think I'm oblivious to something that is obvious to them or I have to create another post to explain that I meant to mention such and such. Meanwhile some people probably suspect it's just a ploy to drive up post counts and points.

I think 10 minutes or 15 minutes to edit each post would be a huge improvement to this fine forum.
