You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
The ignore button has been requested to return ever since it was removed with the last major build many times now, but it just has not happened yet. It's on their "to do" list but that's it.
The other item many want back is the "delete selected message" in PM's, so that we can check several and delete them all at once like e-mails.
