Thank you for your inquiry. To get your powerpoint presentation on AGORACOM either in a post or added to the Presidents DD box on a Hubs Homepage, you must first upload your presentation to a file storage space.

The internet offers browsers thousands of options, however for the sake of convenience we would recommend using www.mediafire.com. You can create a free account where you can upload and manage your files in an application resembling Windows Explorer, or simply upload one file.

In addition to this, if your file is no larger than 5mb, we may be able to host the file on your behalf. Kindly contact us with "PSTI Presentation" in the subject line and we will be happy to host your presentation on your behalf.

Once the powerpoint has been uploaded to the internet, you can copy and paste the hyperlink (web address) of the presentation; this lets other web browsers and users to know where the file is.

In addition, you can upload the location (link) of the presentation to the HUB's Link Library; if you would like it to appear as a Due Diligence link, make sure that the Presidents DD check box is selected.

If you would like to post the presentation as a video message on your profile page, you would have to first convert the presentation into a video format, then upload to Youtube then add the embed video code from Youtube to your AGORACOM profile page.

Lets begin by discussing converting your presentation to video. You have to use some sort of screen capture software. Once again the web offers users an abundance of software, but a free and relaible application would be CamStudio http://camstudio.org/.

Simply download and run the software, open your powerpoint presentation and start recording the presentation as you would like it to appear to others. Once you have finished recording the presentation, export your recording as a video file. The next step involves uploading the your video to Youtube (if you don't have a Youtube account, you can create one for free at http://www.youtube.com/signup.

Once there upload your video; you can do it by clicking on Account, then from the drop down menu New, select Video Upload. The next page will take you to the video upload page; Press "Upload Video" to select and upload a video file. Uploading a video will take several minutes so please be patient. If anything goes wrong with your upload, Youtube will let you know via on screen warnings.

Once your video is uploaded, the video will start playing. To the right of the video, you will find both an embed code and a URL. Copy the URL and paste that into your AGORACOM profiles video message on your account information page. This will display the video message to other members viewing your profile page.
