Thank you for your inquiry. Their are a number of differences between a "Hub Leader" and a "Hub Moderator" is that a "Hub Leader" has ultimate authorities within a Hub, whereas a "Hub Moderator" has limited authorities within a Hub.

A Hub leader and a Hub Moderator also have different ranks. While a Moderator may rank as a Vice President or a President, a Hub Leader's will always hold the rank of President.

Lastly a Hub Leader is appointed by AGORACOM, whereas a Hub Moderator is appointed after accumulating certain activity posts through their posts, and how other AGORACOM members have ranked their posts.
