"nopoo" I'm sure your intentions are well-intentioned, but please accept a modest vote of caution on censoring Coach247 (cf. your previous post to Agoracom on "classless posting").

What Coach247 had to say about Stockhouse is arguably true, did not contain "bad words" and did not name anyone or advocate for or against any stock. The disappointment that many people felt about SH is exactly the great opportunity that Agoracom stepped in to fill - and they have done a great job of it.

You could do worse than to research the last few dozen Coach247 posts. You will likely concur that his posts are the #1 highest quality posts on Agora, on SH, and on the other boards. Coach is pretty mildly spoken and has a huge value in terms of his experience and posts.

There is a natural impulse as cops, that once they have a Taser in their hands, they want to Taser the living daylights out of every delinquent 6 year old who gets even a little bit over the line. We know the results of that.

Perhaps we could save our censorship for those who truly use invective or break the "6 rules" in the way the rules were intended.

As Agoracom has been made aware, the "post deleting" and "negative activity points" process is already being abused, in that boosters or pumpers for a particular stock are deleting critical posts in a manner that is manipulative. We would still prefer overall to keep the discussion alive.

Hope you don't take too much offence - as I started this post with, I'm sure your intentions - and those of Agoracom - are good. Let's not stifle our discussion in the name of being overweening enforcers of the rules.
