Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. jumped 3.5% to $4.45 after the company announced results of step-out drilling on its Tinidad North discovery in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Assay results are included for eight drill holes completed in March and April of 2014,
the company said in a press release.Highlights included 10.8 grams per tonne gold over three metres.
“The results from step-out drilling at Trinidad North continue to confirm the presence of a robust mineralized system with excellent potential for further expansion,’’ said Dr. Thomas Vehrs, vice-president, exploration with Fortuna.
At current levels, Fortuna has a market cap of $560.9 million, based on 126 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is $5.31 and $2.65.
