Fortuna Silver Reports High-Grade Drill Results At Trinidad North

Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (TSX:FVI) reports step-out drilling from eight holes revealed significant high grades of silver. Highlights include 3,511 grams per ton silver and 15.04 g/t gold over 3.7 meters, 474 g/t silver and 2.54 g/t gold over 9.1 meters and 605 g/t silver and 3.59 g/t gold over 10.3 meters, the company says. "High-grade silver-gold mineralization over wide vein widths is a hallmark of the Trinidad North system and the step-out drilling has confirmed the continuation of a robust mineralized system over a further 200 meter strike extension,” says Thomas Vehrs, vice president of exploration at Fortuna Silver. “Mineralization is present in two sub-parallel vein systems - Bonanza Vein and Trinidad Vein - and locally in the form of stockwork zones between the two structures.” The Trinidad North Discovery received an updated resource estimate in October pegging proven and probable reserves at 3.9 million metric tons containing an estimated 24.8 million ounces of silver and 215,000 ounces of gold.
