Hi Scout!
I think Favourable Lake has potential, and so too with the exotic element projects underway, but its Springpole that will drive the story. In fact, the company is not even talking much about the Horseshoe Project adjacent to Springpole that also has some good potential. Almost all of the money that GCU has raised is going towards drilling the hell out of Springpole and thats fine by me since the story still looks low risk, high reward to me. I spoke with Quenton Hennigh at PDAC and he thinks they can still easily more than double the total deposit area as they continue drilling, not to mention what may be awaiting discovery further to depth. They are still finding higher grade zones as they step out laterally, and that means that they may still only be working from the edges towards the middle of this deposit, and have as much upside ahead on the other side as they continue on.
This is all amazing to me, since I have owned the stock for years and watched many drill programs in the past come up with thin zones or miss entirely. Now that they have a handle on the geology they seem to come up with good news on every hole.
I am still hopeful that a major high grade feeder zone may be outlined that really gets the stock moving. Even though such a zone may have very limited real significance in terms of the total resource, the market loves high grade potential. Springpole has a few documented intervals so far of multi-ounce, multi-meter gold hits. It is common for a large deposit to have higher grade feeder zones or diatreme dikes with ideal conditions for enrichment. That is the perfect scenario for GCU to break out later this summer, IMO.
cheers!
