LONDON (Mineweb) -
Eric Sprott has rounded up three of the most knowledgeable advisors, including himself, on precious metals from his own organisation together with the hugely respected Marc Faber, for a round table discussion on precious metals which will be webcast on September 24th at 2 pm Eastern Time. The webcast should be well worth tuning into given the participants’ strong followings and track records on investment in resources, the markets in general and gold and silver in particular. To listen in on the discussion, and to get the access codes etc., you may register in advance (required) by clicking on the link here. Registration also allows you the opportunity to submit your own questions to be discussed by the panel
Few in the resource investment community will be unaware of the panel participants. They are Eric Sprott himself, CEO and Senior Portfolio Manager of Sprott Asset Management, which he built up from scratch in 2001, having previously set up Sprott Securities in 1981 which subsequently became Cormark Securities, now one of Canada’s largest privately owned securities companies. Sprott is nowadays reportedly a dollar billionaire, but still remains fully active in his company guiding its investment policy and is a sought-after speaker and commentator on gold and silver..
Marc Faber is the well-known, and hugely respected Hong Kong-based publisher of the Gloom, Doom and Boom Report. A Swiss national, Dr Faber is also the author of several books including “TOMORROW'S GOLD – Asia's Age of Discovery” which was first published in 2002 and highlights future investment opportunities around the world. “TOMORROW'S GOLD” was for several weeks on Amazon's best seller list and is being translated into Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai and German. Dr. Faber is also a regular contributor to several leading financial publications around the world.
Rick Rule, a very accomplished speaker with a humorous touch, was founder of California-based Global Resource Investments, which merged with Sprott Asset Management in 2011 to form Sprott Global Resource Investments – in effect the U.S. arm of the Sprott organisation. Rule is President of Sprott Global and has spent virtually all his adult life in resource investment and is considered one of the most knowledgeable in the field.
John Embry is Sprott Asset Management’s Chief Investment Strategist and a firm believer in precious metals. Again much in demand as a contributor to many websites and discussions dealing with gold and silver. He is an industry expert in precious metals, has researched the gold sector for over thirty years and has accumulated industry experience as a portfolio management specialist since 1963.
Overall this promises to be a very interesting discussion – although one has to point out all the participants are primarily gold and silver bulls, some to a greater extent than others. Do register and listen in.
