Message: Cliffs Assets in Quebec

If we look at Cliff's Ring of Fire claims and what they went for ( bought by Cliffs for 550 million and sold to Noront for 27.5 million) and compare this proportionally with the sale of the Bloom Lake assets, then we should see a price tag in and arournd the 250 - 300 million mark (bought originally by Cliffs for 4.3 billion) ; IMHO. But really if you look at the state Cliffs is in right now (sp= 2.89) and take into account Lorenzo Gonsalves' new game plan along with the obvious waning of shareholder confidence, then one could see it sold for lower. Anything is possible. It is just a matter of how many bidders there are, versus how badly they all want it. Who knows? Maybe I am wrong here and with a bidding war they manage to sell it above the 300 million mark. In Champion's case the question is, "Can they afford to buy at these prices or higher?" My answer to that is: I don't think so.
