It is known that condensation of titaniferous solution is a critical step affecting energy consumption by sulfuric TiO2 process. Producing titanium dioxide per ton usually consumes 1.6~1.8t vapor and cost of the process goes up to RMB 250~300 yuan per ton of titanium dioxide. It is estimated that the new hydrolysis process can save vapor consumption by 0.5t per ton TiO2, thus cutting production cost by RMB 80 yuan or above.
